STONEGARDEN SINGLE ORIGIN ALES

Born from Barossa Earth

In the heart of the Barossa Valley, where ancient soils breathe life into vines and heritage runs as deep as the bedrock, something unexpected took root—not a grape, but a grain.

Grown on a single, windswept plot of land, where sandy loams meet quartz ridges and red-brown earth warms under the South Australian sun, this barley was never meant to be ordinary. Like vineyards and wine, barley takes on the nuances of the place it was grown.

It was never blended. Never rushed. This was grain grown with intention, in a soil that speaks with character, minerality, and memory.

It was harvested and malted using progressive small batch equipment and brewed slowly. Fermentation was completed with the judicious addition of hops to ensure it reflected the Barley and the land it was grown.

What emerged is our Stonegarden Single-Origin Ale—a limited, terroir-driven expression of the Barossa, unlike anything else. Brewed with barley from one site, one soil type, and one season, the ale was bottle-conditioned in 750ml sparkling wine bottles and sealed under cork—just like the méthode traditionelle sparkling wines.

No additives. No crafty trends. Just time, patience, and provenance.

This isn’t just Ale. It’s a celebration of place.
An ale that tastes like where it came from.
A soil-to-glass journey, captured under cork.

Our intention is to take you on a seasonal journey of the soils and microclimates within the Barossa region through one growing season of a barley crop encapsulated in our Vintage, Single Origin Ales. It’s taken 200 million years to create our special place with its distinctive soils, and warm Mediterranean climate, now you can now enjoy a small part of its distinctive terroir in one glass.

We will be releasing small batch Single Origin Ales that reflect the major soil types of the Barossa each year. We are also exploring other regions outside of the Barossa where vines and barley thrive together and look forward to realising the flavours they are holding within the earth.
